• Michael Rock, Prof. of Economics, Bryn Mawr College, will discuss China’s progress in reducing its reliance on fossil fuels as it builds its economy. China regards the capturing of alternative energy technology markets as a ‘win-win’ strategy. It saves energy, reduces CO2 emissions, and drives economic growth.
• Daniel Weiss, Senior Fellow & Director of Climate Strategy, Center for American Progress, leads the organization’s clean energy and climate advocacy campaign. Mr. Weiss will discuss the ins and outs of energy legislation and how it is essential to the revitalization of the American economy.
• Dawn Rittenhouse, Director of Sustainability, DuPont Corp., will give us the perspective of a corporation taking multiple initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint. She will explore the challenges DuPont faces as it positions itself to launch into the new age of clean energy innovation.
