Green-Built Condo Community Coming To Delaware County

Planning to build a “green” one or two bedroom community for all ages near Swarthmore/Media where small households can enjoy socializing with others that want to be neighborly but not intrusive, while having total privacy in their separately owned fully equipped green-built townhouses or condo flats located on same grounds.

Based on a community model started in Denmark, where the common areas are self-maintained by residents, but outsiders are hired for jobs no one wants to do, with the objective being fellowship with neighbors along with lower condo fees. Community center includes community suppers when desired, as well as spare guest rooms to house overnight guests, along with library, gym, etc. so each condo can be small and energy efficient. Meeting held at 2 p.m. Sunday.
