National energy conservation – another lesson from Cuba

Once again, the U.S. could learn a thing or two from Cuba — this time on nationwide energy conservation (if you saw the film “The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil,” you know they could give us some tips on food production):

We claim to be the leader of the world, so why is it always others who are really doing the leading? Germany is also way ahead of the U.S. in energy conservation and use of renewables.
