Here’s a good audio interview with Dr. Colin Campbell, inventor of the term “Peak Oil,” cofounder of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil, and former exploration geologist for various international oil companies. You may have seen him in “The End of Suburbia,” “A Crude Awakening,” or other films we’ve shown in Swarthmore over the past couple of years.
At the age of 78 he’s about to retire from Peak Oil advocacy and lead a quieter life. Here he discusses a variety of Peak Oil-related issues, including the Transition Towns movement, the current economic crisis, and communicating the issues to politicians, with a German interviewer (in English):
