Please join us for Drexel’s first Teach-In on Global Warming on Thursday, February 5th from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Bossone Auditorium by joining colleges and universities around the country in taking a day to focus on the climate change affecting our world today.
This event includes a national Webcast from 12-1 p.m. on “Solutions for the First 100 Days” featuring discussions on global warming solutions from David Orr, Hunter Lovins, Betsy Taylor, Ray Anderson, Dianne Dillon-Ridgely, Jessy Tolkan, Billy Parish and Wahleah Johns. The webcast will be followed by a large group discussion, facilitated by Drexel Senior Vice President James Tucker, on how our Drexel Community can address solutions to global warming.
Student-led group discussions on solutions for our Drexel Community will take place in Bossone Auditorium from 1-1:45 p.m.
A panel discussion on sustainable design will take place from 2-3 p.m. in Bossone Auditorum, featuring Sherman Aronson of BLT Architects , David Ade of SMP Architects, and Nancy Trainer of Venturi, Scott and Brown Associates, Inc .
Exhibits on global warming issues and tips for greener living will be on display in the Bossone Lobby from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Refreshments will be provided in the Bossone Lobby from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. This event, sponsored by Drexel Green, is free and open to the public.
