The movie will be held at:
Village Library
726 Penns Park Rd., Wrightstown 18940
When Cuba lost access to Soviet oil in the early 1990s, the country faced an immediate crisis – feeding the population – and an ongoing challenge: how to create a new low-energy society in economic hard times. This film tells the story of the Cuban people’s hardship, ingenuity, and triumph over sudden adversity – through cooperation, conservation, and community.
We will have a brief business meeting of the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance before the film. Agenda items include:
Have you wanted to get more involved in building a local, healthy food supply? Or do you know someone who would be a valuable asset on our board in our continuing efforts to build a local, sustainable food supply? If you have questions, please contact Robin Hoy, Executive Director, for more information at 215-860-7081 or bring your questions to the meeting Wed., Nov. 5.
Of course, REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED!
