Dear Volunteer,
Thanks in part to your recent action, the Hardrock Mining and Reclamation Act of 2007 (H.R. 2262) passed the U.S. House of Representatives on Nov. 1, 2007!
This bill helps update the century-old 1872 Mining Law, which for too long allowed companies to buy up America’s public lands at dirt-cheap prices–no clean-up required.
Thank you for helping protect wildlife from destructive mining practices!
The victory is not complete until H.R. 2262 passes the Senate. Please keep an eye out for updates on the next vote. Let’s keep this momentum going!
